The Art of World Languages: Experiential Learning in Philadelphia's Art Museums

Calling all language, arts and culture aficionados! Language plays a crucial role in how we understand artistic expression. This course will focus on where world language, culture and art meet through the study of art from around the world. Students will learn the process for analyzing and interpreting art through the lense of world languages and will contextualize artists, works, and movements through interactive class activities. Students will then apply these skills in person with trips to various museums in the Philadelphia area. No art OR language experience is necessary to experience the beauty of Philadelphia's art scene and learn how world languages and art interact!
