This course will provide students with a survey of various forensic science topics. Students will learn the fundamentals of forensic science as well as the ethical concerns regarding the scientific reporting in the criminal justice system. Through various laboratory procedures, mock crime scenes, and lectures, students will learn the basics of crime scene investigation, forensic biology, and forensic chemistry. This course will utilize project-based learning and will conclude with a final project presentation that encompasses learned crime scene analysis skills as well as evidence evaluation and analysis. This course is available to juniors and seniors who have successfully completed Biology and Chemistry. (1/2 Credit)
